The recognition reflects a significant jump in employee giving. In 2025, Filament staff increased their total contributions by 73 percent, demonstrating a strong and growing commitment to supporting the local community.
That growth didn’t happen by accident. Filament’s internal SOCIAL Team, which organizes the company’s United Way campaign each year, played a central role in driving participation and enthusiasm across the organization. Their planning and outreach helped turn a routine campaign into a meaningful opportunity for staff to engage and give back.
The award also comes during a year of momentum for United Way, with increases in both participation and contributions across many workplaces and initiatives. Those efforts translate directly into expanded support for individuals and families throughout the community, from basic needs and education to financial stability and health services.
Filament President C.J. Thoma said the recognition reflects something deeper than a single campaign.
“I’m incredibly proud of our team. Their generosity and willingness to step up for others says a lot about who we are as an organization. Supporting United Way is one of the ways we can extend our impact beyond our day-to-day work, and it’s inspiring to see how fully our staff embraces that.”
Filament is proud to support an organization that continues to make a wide-reaching difference across Lincoln and Lancaster County, helping people at every stage of life access the resources they need.
At the heart of this recognition is the Filament team itself. Their generosity, compassion, and commitment to supporting others continue to define the organization and the role it plays in the community.
